Terminus is a project developed during the 3rd year of our Computing Bachelor in Bordeaux (FR). The aim was to teach to Computer Science's students how to use UNIX commands (from Linux environment). This project has been originally realised by MIT Students, but for our version, we had to also explain how the University of Bordeaux was working. First, from September to December, we wrote the Specifications, and then from Febrary to May, we developed the project. The team was not the same during the 2 period, so before the development, we looked at the Specifications and changed a few things. Our guideline was to re-create a Terminal with Javascript to control the entire environment and to use quests to create a game.
This project was really important for us, because we were in complete autonomy, so we had to ask ourselves the right questions. We learned a lot, about Javascript because we didn't practice it during University but also in communication and team effort. I was the Project Manager so I personally learned a lot about the managing of a team. For a more complete description of the project, please refer to the official project report (only available in French).
